About

Eugenio Battaglia is a supervising sound editor, designer, and re-recording mixer for feature films and television. Based in Vancouver, Eugenio works with clients across North America primarily out of his studio in Mt. Pleasant, as well as his larger mix studio (Side Room) in East Vancouver for projects requiring Dolby Atmos, 7.1, 5.1 and binaural.

His approach blends technical precision with hands-on creative collaboration. Working closely with directors from early concept through final delivery, Eugenio helps shape sound in ways that elevate story, performance, and tone.

With his background in electronic music production, he has a keen ear for pushing beyond the expected, crafting soundscapes that feel distinctive while still delivering mixes that translate seamlessly across theatrical and streaming platforms.

Recent completed projects include Zi, which premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, Backrooms, Longlegs, Heretic, Eternity, The Monkey and Keeper.

Outside of sound-editing, Eugenio has been involved with the recent restoration of the historic Park Theatre, where he not only invested but collaborated closely with the sound engineering and technical teams to develop a modern, state-of-the-art sound system.
